SUPERVISED VISITATION PROGRAM

Our program provides support for parents and children who require supervised visitation.

We understand that while no parent wants to need these services, we are able to provide much needed support that can stabilize visits and provide unbiased documentation to family court. We believe that children deserve to feel safe and protected from adult issues so they can enjoy their childhood. We take pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, and fun facility where kids and can explore games and toys with their loved ones without parental conflict.

We recognize that each family has unique needs and present unique risks, and will conduct an orientation and screening prior to scheduling a supervised visit or safe exchange.  We reserve the right to refuse service and reject any case we cannot safely supervise, and will notify the family and referral source of the rejection and the reason why the case cannot be served.

QUALIFICATIONS & LEGAL LINKS

As required by law, we will complete and sign the Declaration of Supervised Visitation Provider Form. A completed copy of this form will be sent to all parties involved including the custodial and non-custodial parents, attorneys, and court.

We are trained to be objective observers and are in compliance with the 2019 California Rules of Court Standard 5.20. Uniform standards of practice for providers of supervised visitation.

We adhere to standards set by the Supervised Visitation Network.

NO CONTACT VISITS

When No Contact Visits between adults of the same family are required, we handle all scheduling from requests to confirmations and stagger arrival times to make sure parties are able to arrive and leave the facility without fear of confrontation or accusations.

It is critical that adults feel safe and calm during appointments so that kids sense this is a safe place where they want to be.

Your supervised visitations will occur at a Children and Family Wellness Center facility until a court order authorizes otherwise and services are no longer needed. Children and Family Wellness Center will help you plan your first and last visit through our phase system. Children and Family Wellness Center also helps you plan your parenting goals and successfully regain visitation through our different educational sessions.

Our primary goals of resolving challenges together are accomplished when families can come together safely and implement the tools learned at Children and Family Wellness Center. Even after supervised visitation goals have been reached, we offer programs such as Daddy and Me classes and other services that can continue to help families stay on a healthy pathway and feel supported during family transitions.
