DIRECTOR OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Na’Tasha obtained a BA Degree in Social Work from California State University Fresno and a Master in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. She later passed her licensing exam and is now a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has experience in the field of counseling since 2000 and has been working as a Mental Health Clinician/Therapist working in the public schools in Richmond, CA, providing school-based therapy to the children and their families since 2010. Her passion for the mental health field developed early on in life based upon her personal life experiences, growing up in the projects of West Oakland, and being surrounded by drugs, violence, and constant trauma. These experiences led her to realize the impact negative experiences can have on one’s lifespan if not treated with the proper support and guidance. This drove her to want to be a part of making a change in people, families, and communities.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has had the privilege of working with individuals and families in California since 2010. I believe in each individual and families’ ability to access the changes that they want and believe that my role is to facilitate those changes with tools and techniques to help when you have tried and feel stuck on your own progress.
I believe that each person and family is unique and have a variety of therapeutic approaches to fit different needs of each family or individual that I meet and work with.
I will assess your needs and goals and collaborate with you as a partner for the changes you want and together work for life that you want. My invitation to you is come where you are, with an openness for what could be and to pursue and achieve the life you want and the tranquility you deserve.
