Programs for Teen Moms, Teen Dads, Expectant Parents, and Parenting Youth
Supporting young parents. Strengthening families. Building brighter futures.
The Mommie & Me and Daddy & Me programs provide expectant and parenting teens in Alameda County with education, encouragement, parenting skills, and connections to valuable community resources.
These programs are designed to reach an underserved and at-risk population. Teen fathers, in particular, are often described as “the forgotten partners in teen pregnancy.” Teen mothers and fathers may experience judgment, isolation, family conflict, interrupted education, financial pressure, and uncertainty about their ability to parent successfully.
Our co-facilitated group model provides young parents with a safe, educational, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can connect with others facing similar experiences, strengthen their parenting abilities, and develop healthy relationship skills.
